I am moving on from Spring to Swing !!

I used alcohol inks and blending solution to cover the base of the card. I printed off the Deco Follies digi stamp and coloured with pro markers and sakura gel pens. Mounted it on gold mirri board and centred on the card. Added a few punched butterflies and peel offs.

Baby Wipe card ... lol

The card on the left - the background to the butterfly was made with a baby wipe. Just fold your bw into 4 and put drops of ink along one folded edge with reinkers or whatever inks you have ... I didnt have reinkers so used alcohol inks) and smear the edge of your bw across your card. I then stamped the butterfly and coloured with sakura gel pens. Matted onto white cs which had been embossed on cuttlebug. Added a bit of stickles and punched my corners.
The card on the right - was printed from a My Craft Studio cd, the corners were punched and then I sponged with color box and distress ink around the edge of the base card. Printed off a sentiment and layered on top.

Ssshhhh..... it s a secret

This is Hubby's Valentine Card finished it today so now I can hide it heheheee
Gatefold card on white cs. Silver mirri board at the back. 3 square apertures to the right front. Red mirri board and a peel off to the left hand side. Mounted three cuttlebug hearts in the apertures made with nestability. I then covered those hearts with some shrink plastic hearts that I made and glittered to add more of a 3D affect in the apertures. There is also one at the top right of the card. Stamped I Love You message.

My Design for Digi Stamp Challenge at Crafty Cardmakers

This is my first Design Team Card that I have made for Crafty Cardmakers. The design they chose was Digital Stamps.
I downloaded the digi stamp from Fred She Said Designs and layered together. Fixed the digi stamp to white cs which I had previously scored twice and placed green cs between the score lines. Printed off a sentiment from Word and layered this onto mirri board and matching green cs. Added some gems !! Rounded my corners with a corner punch.
Hope you like it ......

Shrink hearts - Valentine on overload

I wanted to make some phone/purse charms and also some embellishments for hubby's valentine card so reached for a nestability heart and cut some out on shrinkies paper (clear)
Punched a hole in the ones for the charms and stamped with versamark. Covered them on one side in embossing powder and heated with heat gun. With them being clear the embossing powder shows through on both sides.
Made quite a few charms and then a few more without the punched hole for the valentine card....
Here they are ....

altered tin notebook

So here I am still on the theme of notebooks or notepads whatever you want to call them.
I bought a few of the tin notebooks in the january sales, you know the sort they have a thin metal cover usually a gold colour, but very flat and bland ...
So I decided to try and jazz one of them up. I used Adirondak Alcohol Inks and a blender mixed up my inks and began to podge all over until I had the desired effect.
Left the inks to dry which didnt take long just a few minutes. Then stuck on the butterfly embellishment and a gem ...
Certainly looks brighter than when I bought it .....  lol
